Dr.Ranganathan’s
Day celebration
ADINET
every year celebrates the birth anniversary of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan (Father
of Indian Library and Information Science) as Librarians’ Day. It is formally
inaugurated in the morning and is followed by a seminar on current topic of
interest to people connected with library and information centres.
New
Services introduced/offered recently
It
is our present observation that most of the libraries are unable to update
their day to day library jobs due to budget crunch on one hand and lack
of professional staff on the other. They need some professional/organization
which can assist in completing their backlog. It also will help them offer
up to date services. There is also no regular and permanent financial
commitment as the outsourcing happens at random intervals..
One
of the objectives of ADINET is to bring about cooperative mode of working
amongst the libraries and information centres in and around Ahmedabad. In order to foster mutual cooperation and assistance among the libraries
for the development of library services, ADINET is now offering the following
services by the special expert team against reasonable charges. ADINET
wants to help libraries and information centres at their shop floor levels.
