Ranganathan’s
Day celebration
ADINET
every year celebrates the birth anniversary of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan (Father
of Indian Library and Information Science) as Librarians’ Day. It is formally
inaugurated in the morning and followed by a seminar on current topic of
interest to people connected with library and information centres.

It
is our present observation that most of the libraries are unable to update
their day to day library jobs due to budget crunch on one hand and lack
of professional staff on the other. They need some professional/organization
who can assist in completing their backlog and also help them continuously
for betterment of their libraries without any regular & permanent financial
commitments.
One
of the objectives of ADINET is to bring about cooperative mode of working
amongst the libraries and information centers in and around Ahmedabad.
In order to foster mutual cooperation and assistance among the libraries
